Anyways, she posted a list of movies that she likes to watch, primarily for the settings of the movies. I had to laugh, because I thought I was the only person to ever do this. So here's my top ten list of movies to watch, simply because the settings are so cool...and the stories aren't bad either. The majority of the movies are chick flicks!
10. Clue - that house... I just love it... was fun to see the actual rooms instead of what I imagined as a kid playing with the cards. Remember the cards from the game, with a suggestion of carpet, and a phone or a book. This movie lives up to my expectations of what the house would look like and everything.
9. The Wedding Date - the scenery in this movie... I love everything from the parent's home, to the lake house, and who can forget the little stone church. Beware, it's a chick flick... and Sean will never watch it with me.
8. You've Got Mail - Hello! It's got a bookstore in it. Have I ever resisted a bookstore? I loved Meg Ryan's apartment and the bookstore. I wanted to move in.
7. Possession - The English house thing again... sigh. I wish I had a library like the one in the historic house. Absolutely loved this movie anyways, but the scenery again hooks me everytime.
6. The Holiday - I know, I know... it's a silly chick flick again, but I loved the cottage and the mansion in Beverly Hills. Such two incredibly different locations, but I loved both of them.
My favorite scene is of Cameron Diaz trying to get comfortable in the little bathtub, by the window, with stone walls. I could see me loving it, and Sean wanting to kill me, if we ever rented a place like this. :)

5. The Princess Diaries - I know, I know, I have a problem with the chick flicks. But Anne Hathaway's loft in her mother's apartment. A fireman's pole and everything. Every kid's dream getaway in their own home.
4. Must Love Dogs - I adored Diane Lane's house, from the bathroom to the kitchen, it was just amazing, and what I would want my house to look like if I had a cottage type house in Boston, er Cambridge or wherever it was that she lived. And I loved her brother's dog... big and hairy, and totally lovable.
3. Any of the Harry Potter movies, I love Hogwarts, the Burrow, Hagrid's hut, I just loved it, a castle, a cottage... again there's that English thing... evidently I need to visit there!
2. Under the Tuscan Sun, was enough to send me running to Italy to buy a house, already renovated though! It was so beautiful, and I loved the scenery as well, riding all over on the scooter. Another Diane Lane movie... not quite enough for a theme though.
1. Arsenic and Old Lace , the black and white version with a very young and bewildered Cary Grant, and his crazy uncle running up and down the staircase. Right next to the graveyard, with window seat in the dining room... old Hollywood at it's best. :)
